Cowdray House on the picturesque Cowdray Estate within the South Downs National Park has something to offer all visitors. We were invited to visit and stay over recently and were taken by its charm and heritage. But also with how versatile it can be for events.
This 16,500 acre estate is just around 1 hour 30 minutes outside of London. It plays host to one of the earliest Tudor houses, stunning grounds to walk upon, 18 hole golf course and is renowned for being the home of British Polo. Within the main Manor House which can be used for exclusive events and weddings. It holds 22 bedrooms, Great Hall for dining and receptions, snooker room and even an indoor bowling alley!
Sustainability is everything here with an award winning farm shop, woodland management, dairy and arable livestock farming and the nearby Nytimber Vineyards which produce some of the finest English sparkling and other wines to sample and enjoy.
With so much on offer on the estate, most outdoor activities can be enjoyed here. From golf and polo, to clay shooting, falconry, fishing, wildlife tours to name a few. It's also a great base location for those looking to spend time in the area to take in Glorious Goodwood or the Festival of Speed. It really blends itself for a conference retreat or incentive event.
